Improving Springfield, MO with Social Media

Thursday, May 1st, 2014

In Springfield, MO we have a huge homeless population, and maybe we could do something to help these poor souls through the social media. I think we could help these homeless people by making a video of how the homeless people live and how they are struggling to survive. After the video is made we will then upload the video into YouTube and many other video websites and hope people in Springfield, MO will be inspired to help these people to get food and clothes.

Louis Fiquet’s Pretty Good Day

Thursday, May 1st, 2014

We made this video, because we wanted to make a funny video with an interesting style to it, so we created a narration style in the form of a fairy tale. What we needed was a narrator who had a terrific voice and characters that would make people laugh, especially towards the character whose life is being controlled by the narrator. When we were making up the skit we also thought what would make the video even better was make the lines we used in the script to rhyme to make the video more of a fairy tale fell.

Why Make Fake Photos

Thursday, April 24th, 2014

This is image was stated that this boat is the Ultimate Houseboat, but this was a Photo shopped picture. This photo was made by a Norwegian construction firm as a humorous way to illustrate its campaign urging people to “Realize your dream home in the New Year!” I think they made this photo to excite people that it is possible for people to have a house on a boat. This picture was a deception, because the person who made this photo took two separate pictures and merged parts of the pictures.

This picture of Theodore Roosevelt riding a moose was made to advertise Roosevelt so that he could become president. I think this photo was made to show the public or the voters that Roosevelt was a very adventurous person and that he could deal with any problems the country might have. This photo was a deception, because during the 21st century people studied the photo and found out that the picture was originally just a moose going through the water, and Roosevelt was pasted into the photo.

This picture of a giant squid was originally located in an article, which the article claimed that on January 2014 a squid, grown to mutant size because of Fukushima radiation, came ashore near Santa Monica. The article was intended as a satire. This photo is a deception, because the beach was taken from a photo when a whale washed ashore onto a beach in Chile and the squid was pasted onto the beach to make it look like the squid was huge.

Is the Media Truthful?

Tuesday, April 15th, 2014

Most medium items are sometimes accurate, but other times they exaggerate the truth, which in my opinion is lying. In the experience I had from watching news media there were sometimes when they tell news event that is big, but the a few days later they take back what they told us, and tell use that they were given false information. When the news media does this it makes us question if what they tell us in the news is true, because the news might be telling us lies so that they can protect us from the truth. However, I do not like it when news medias keep vital information from the people, when we the people have the right to know the truth no matter how bad it is.
